And feminism when you already have gender equality is female superiority.@Anonymous
Hahahahahahaha well FUCK
We. Do. Not. Have. Gender. Equality.
For every dollar that a man earns, a woman earns 77 cents.
Women are still subject so domestic violence and abuse within relationships, and while this can happen to men it is SO MUCH MORE COMMON for a woman to be abused within a relationship.
Women are TAUGHT TO HATE THEIR BODIES. We are taught that being fat is bad but oh no don’t be too skinny, having imperfections is normal but who wants to see THAT on a beach, shave your body hair because wow is it DISGUSTING (even though it’s completely natural and men are subject to the complete opposite norms about bodily hair), look at these celebrities you thought were flawless! Turns out they have flaws like you! But we’re going to ridicule them about their cellulite until the cows come home.
WE DO NOT HAVE GENDER EQUALITY
Women can’t walk down a street at night without the thought running through her head that she’s going to be attacked at any moment. That she could be taken advantage of and humiliated. What does society do about this? WE MAKE IT OUT TO BE THE WOMAN’S FAULT. We tell her that she should protect herself, we tell her that she should go with a male friend as if the only thing in the world that can protect her from a man is another man, we teach women self defense moves that nobody should NEED to know in a civilised society. WE DO NOT TEACH MEN NOT TO ATTACK WOMEN.
WE NEED FEMINISM IN OUR SOCIETY BECAUSE WE NEED TO BE SEEN AS EQUALS TO MEN.
Women are NOT some accessory for men to show off to their mates.
Women are NOT there just to gratify your sexual desires (but if a woman wants to do so then that’s totally fine).
Women are NOT to be taken advantage of just because biologically we tend to be weaker than men.
WE NEED GENDER EQUALITY. We sure as HELL don’t have it yet. And this is what feminism is about.
Feminism is NOT ‘women are better than men’
Feminism IS ‘everyone should be treated equally because everyone is a human being.’
We need feminism in society.
